The Lady Eagle volleyball team finished the 2006 season with a 17-16 record. Outside hitter Kelli Sorensen received first team All-SAC honors while teammate Kari Gibson earned second team All-SAC honors. Gibson also earned SAC Player of the Week accolades after acquiring a season-best 62 assists in a road victory over Lincoln Memorial while also aiding the C-N cause with 12 kills, seven digs and two service aces Katie Troyer was named to the conference's All-Freshman team. The team reached the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference tournament under third-year head coach Shannon Mincey. Outside hitter Kelsey Fleck was named to the All-SAC Tournament team for her performance against Tusculum where she posted an impressive 18 kills and one error to give her a career high .686 hitting percentage. The Lady Eagles averaged 14.4 kills and 12.8 assists per game. With All-SAC performers Kelli Sorensen and Katie Troyer returning for the 2007 season along with fellow returnees Haley Bush, Mary Knapp, Vanessa Kinsler, Bruna Rasuck, Cori Bevering, and Salem Stepp, the future of Lady Eagle volleyball remains bright.
