Preston Sneed named South Atlantic Conference's Men's Tennis Scholar Athlete
ROCK HILL, SC - Carson-Newman's Preston Sneed was named the South Atlantic Conference's Men's Tennis Scholar Athlete, winning the award for the second year in a row, league officials announced today. In addition to being named the Scholar Athlete, Sneed and fellow Eagle Giuseppe Schwartz were named as All-Conference selections. [+]

Eagles Edge Wingate 5-3 in SAC Tournament
Wingate, N.C.----The Carson-Newman College Eagles defeated the Wingate University Bulldogs 5-3 in the first round of the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference men's tennis tournament Tuesday afternoon at the Wingate University tennis facility. The Eagles improve to 7-5 overall, while Wingate concludes the 2008 campaign 8-13 overall. [+]
