HOUSTON, Tx. - Carson-Newman sophomore Brad Robinson (Johnson City, Tenn.) first a 1-under 69 in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship held Wednesday in Houston, Texas.

Robinson came in with a 34 to finish with the 69. He was at 2-under with two holes to play, but finished with a bogey-five on par-four 17th hole to give one back.

The Johnson City-native will tee off near nine a.m. on Thursday morning for his second round.

The four-day event wraps up Saturday.
