The 2006-2007 Carson-Newman Eagles won 10 games during the season. Head coach Dale Clayton's team averaged 110.6 points per game in their last five games. The Eagles ended their nine-game SAC winless streak with consecutive victories over Mars Hill and Lenoir-Rhyne. Senior guard Kente Hart, who was named second-team All-South Atlantic Conference, made the game-winning shot at the buzzer in the 82-80 win over L-R at Holt Fieldhouse. Freshman Jordan Dixon earned SAC All-Freshman honors. Hart and Scott Williams led the team in scoring by averaging 14.9 points per game with Andy Tipton and Darren Williams averaging 12 and 10.8 points per game, respectively. Scott Williams led the Eagles in rebounding, grabbing 7.1 boards per game while Deonte Williams averaged 6.6 rebounds per contest. Darren Williams made 58 three-pointers to lead the Eagles in that category while Jesse McMurray made 42 triples and averaged 32% from beyond the arc. After winning their SAC Tournament opener against Mars Hill, the Eagles hung tough with top seed Catawba before falling in the quarterfinals 115-113 to end their season.
